Cartoonist Writes Book to Inspire Youth to Explore Unconventional Careers

New Delhi, Delhi, India

You need to be inspired to follow an unconventional career path. Delhi based cartoonist K. V. Gautam decided to share the motivation behind his career and life in the form of a motivational book. The book titled Impossible is Fun shares his life mantras with admirers of his art. Divided into six chapters, Impossible is Fun talks about importance of setting goals and achieving them without caring for obstacles faced in the path.

As a political cartoonist K. V. Gautam has worked for the Hindustan Times and the Dainik Jagran, and illustrated many books. The idea for the book came to his mind after he was invited to speak at a TEDx event. He talked about his journey as a cartoonist, and how he withstood the social pressure and followed an unconventional career path at the event. It inspired many people who also wanted to follow different careers but could not due to various reasons. After the event he was invited at various educational institutes like IIT Kanpur, BITS Pilani and Anna University to share his experience with students.

K. V. Gautam believes that all kinds of career opportunities have cropped up in last two decades. “You don’t need to become only a government servant, doctor or an engineer for a living,” he said, adding, “I hope my book inspires youth to explore their potentials and embrace different career options.”
