Octane Marketing Announces the Free Availability of their Annual India e-Marketing Report 2012
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Thursday, April 05, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- Octane.in, creator of India's first on-demand multi-channel marketing campaigns platform, has announced the free release of its second annual research report "Gearing Up for Growth-India e-Marketing Outlook 2012" on its website www.octane.in.
The report got published in January, since then it has helped marketers understand the issues related to online marketing, adoption of social media, spam, code of conducts and how different channels of online & mobile media (email, SMS, social, blogs, search) are tracking within the industry in India.
Most of the key findings have highlighted interesting facts. For example, the report reveals that Social Media (68.8%) and Email Marketing (53.1%) are emerging as the top 2 online marketing activities that will see an increase in marketing investments in 2012. And that a high number of India marketers (62%) feel that the Email and SMS marketing programs are effective in meeting agreed goals. Another interesting finding says that a majority of India marketers (36%) wanted a code of conduct by an industry body like IAMAI while 31.5% of participants believed that stronger anti-spam laws in India (like CAN-SPAM) would curb the SPAM campaigns.
Over all, in 2011, the report shows a 6% increase of dependency on email service providers or ESPs (like Octane) to provide assured inbox delivery of email messages (25.5% respondents in 2011 vs. 19.2% in 2010) while it also reveals a decline in the role of IT in ensuring inbox deliverability over the last year.
Since the report is a detailed analysis of ideas and perspectives shared by top managers and industry veterans from select 380 companies in India, it is an essential guide for marketers in India as they look to boost their return on investments in 2012.
Highlighting the importance of the event, Mr. Samarth Saxena, Co-Founder & COO of Octane Marketing said, "We feel today is another milestone in the exciting space of Indian marketing research. The feedback that we got from top managers & marketers regarding the industry insights and key findings from this report has been so overwhelmingly positive that we felt compelled to make it more widely available. Now anyone can benefit from our research by simply reading the report online or even downloading a copy for reference."
