5000 People Attended EFY EXPO On Day 2
The expo is gaining a lot of traction from people interested in the latest innovations, especially from India
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Saturday, February 18, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- A record 5,000 people attended EFY Expo 2012 on Day 2. This takes the total number of attendees to 9,000 so far, with many more expected to turn up for the last day (Day 3) of the event on Saturday. Right from manufacturers, buyers to students, the expo attracted all kinds of people related to the electronics industry, from different parts of the country.
A powerful mix of seminars, conferences and summits running in parallel at the expo aims to provide useful insights into the Indian electronics industry for the benefit of design engineers, manufacturers and senior decision makers alike.
Over 450 leading brands are exhibiting the best of their best technologies at Hall No. 11 of Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Started on 16 February, the three-day event is offering business opportunities in various electronics sectors including components, semiconductors, test and measurement equipment, training and educational solutions, PCB manufacturers, electronics manufacturing service (EMS) providers, wire-wound components and electronics design houses.
Moreover, the expo is also attracting those who are involved in the purchase of electronics products and services viz. purchase heads, design engineers, application engineers, service engineers, R&D engineers, electronic (technical) and electrical consultants and all those involved in the manufacturing of electronics products. People interested in latest innovations, especially from India, are finding this expo a perfect place to be.
Commenting on the choice of the companies present at the expo, Amin Ajmel, CEO, Sunrise Instruments Private Limited, said, "I would like to see more companies in automotive electronics but I think EFY Expo is great as it houses names like Millennium Semiconductors. Such brands should be retained for years to come."
Talking about the highlight of the show, Ajay Kaswani, partner, Emsons Radio Corporation, said, "The best part of the expo is the ambiance it provides. I like the overall presentation of the expo. I expect more Taiwanese companies to participate in the next year because this is one platform where Indian companies get to interact with foreign players."
Ashish Singhania, executive director, Montec Electrometers Ltd, said, "I was expecting to contact some manufacturers on this show. I got most of them under one roof, which is what I liked about the show."
Some of the students who attended the seminars and conferences at the event found them an enriching experience. One major highlight of Day 2 was the EFY Design Engineers' Conference, which was attended by major industry experts and design engineers from across the nation. Dr Anupam Gupta from IIT Jodhpur, who is also a part of the team that designed the world's cheapest tablet computer Aakash, made an important revelation about Aakash being sold in the market by DataWind. He revealed that the tablets being sold in the market may not be the same as the one designed by the IIT Jodhpur team--only the tech specs are same.
You can track many more important happenings of the electronics world at the EFY Expo 2012. Be there to know the latest in the electronics today.
