New Delhi, Delhi, India, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 -- (Business Wire India) -- India TV chairman and editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma has been named as the "Hero" of a nation-wide survey on the movers and shakers of the Indian Media during 2008. The survey was conducted by leading Hindi daily, Hindustan of the Hindustan Times group.

The survey asked readers to sms their choice of "Hindustan ke Hero" for the year 2008 from among 8 media leaders of the country.

In his reaction, Mr Sharma said he was gratified by the trust reposed by the influential audiences of Hindustan and pledged that India TV would continue to set the bar for television news.
